Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Sweden

Igor S. Neverov was born June 20, 1956 in Moscow. In 1978 he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and joined the diplomatic service.
Mr. Neverov has a diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
During his diplomatic career, Mr. Neverov occupied various posts in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR / Russian Federation and in the Soviet / Russian Embassy in the USA.
1978-1984 - Embassy of the USSR in the USA
1984-1987 - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, USA and Canada Section
1987-1992 - Embassy of the USSR in the USA, Second Secretary
1992-1998 - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Department of North America
1998-2002 - Embassy of the Russian Federation in the USA, Deputy Chief of Mission
2002-2009 - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Department of North America, Director.
In October 2009 Mr. Neverov arrived in Stockholm as Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Sweden and presented his credentials on November 3.
Igor S. Neverov is married and has two daughters.
