It does`t matter where you are insured. You should get from your insurance compony a letter in original that confirms that you are insured for the trip to Russia in the actual period of time.

for the tourist visa is it required to book strictly a hotel or an appartment will do?? Must it be prepaid for the whole period??
My citizenship is greek, not swedish.

Hello,
You should have visa support from Russian tourist agency. If there is such a firm which has some apartments for tourists it will be OK. The main thing is that this firm is authorized to give visa support to foreigners. It is up to consular officer to check if you paid in full for accomondation.

Hello. I am a Polish citizen living in Sweden. My full passport has expired and I will replace it in June when I visit my home town in Poland. In the meantime, I have a 6mth temporary passport. I would like to visit Moscow in May and want to know if I can get a tourist visa in my temporary passport. Thanks.

You can apply for Russian visa only if your temporary passport is just issued when your passport has almost full "capacity".
