Alexander Prusov was born in 1977. In 1999 he graduated with honours from Moscow State Linguistic University (area of specialization – linguistics and intercultural communication), in 2008 he graduated with honours from Russian Diplomatic Academy (area of specialization – world economics). At present he is working on candidate’s dissertation in economics. He has a good command of English and German.
Mr. Prusov joined the diplomatic service in 1999. First he started as an interpreter on high level. Later Mr. Prusov became a career consular officer and had been consecutively working at the Russian Consulates General in New York, Hamburg, Toronto, and Munich. Inbetween his appointments he held diverse positions within the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and was involved in bilateral consular relations with EU and North American countries.
Commencing September 4th, 2010 Mr. Prusov was posted as Head of Consular Section of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Sweden. He has a diplomatic rank of First Class First Secretary.
Mr. Prusov is married.
